Age is an obsession for many of us for years and it would continually be an obsession for us because we correlate it to our beauty as humans. While growing, we always wanted to look older and once we get older, we want to look younger than our actual age.
In this article, there’s a short list of six daily actions and things that make you look older.
- Lack of exercise: this is one of the things that makes you look older and can easily be changed. Maybe you exercise once a week or every now and then, despite it not being bad, a fall in your exercise schedule can cause a fall in your young looks and feel. Daily exercise, no matter how little keeps you looking fabulous and feeling healthy.
- Short sleep time: what are your sleeping habits? Do you sleep early and wake even earlier? Or you work late into the night and sleep for barely 4 hours? Sleep is super important for our body and should not be neglected. Healthy sleep routines go for 8 hours or more and this leaves our body healthy and refreshed. In case you were not aware, our bodies detoxify and heal while we sleep.
- Smoking: smoking causes lung cancer and if that does not catch up with you, be sure to look into your mirror for signs of aging. If you are interested in aging fast, pick up cigarette sticks and devour them daily; but I’m pretty sure we all want to look young.
- Alcohol intake: who knew that alcohol, which is liquid, by the way, dehydrates us? It dehydrates not just your lungs by having you super thirsty; it also dehydrates our skin, leaving it parched. Parched skin is highly likely to leave you with wrinkles, fine line, and acne. Try a month or two without alcohol and observe your looks and health.
- Overindulgence: do you binge feed on junks? Or maybe you don’t binge feed or them; you probably just indulge yourself by taking a little here and there without a break over the days. It accumulates over time and it can really accelerate the aging process.
- Being stressed: stress is another major thing that causes accelerated aging. Adequate rest cannot be overemphasized when it comes to beauty treatment and health matters. Often times, we ask how to avoid stress because in most situations we simply cannot avoid stress completely. We face stressful situations day in day out from both the home front and at work. The trick to avoiding stress and its consequences is by not letting it get to us so much that it begins to affect our looks and health.
A bonus tip is to always stay hydrated, drink plenty of water because water is life and it detoxifies our system inside out. Drink at least 5 liters of water a day and watch yourself look stunningly young.
