Following the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S10 of Samsung’s S series, commemorating Samsung’s 10th year anniversary, Samsung launched alongside the S10 three other phones all set to be the flagship of the S series.
Samsung remarkably upped the stakes in its battle with Apple, its biggest rival, unveiling four new devices at its 10th year anniversary – Galaxy Unpacked 2019.

Unleashing a fleet of power packed devices, with the Samsung Galaxy S10 and the new Galaxy fold – S10 5G as the focus of the sail; Samsung S10 series is set to take the mobile world by a storm as they left little to no stone unturned in this upgrade.
The S10 series represents a quest for perfection; perfection signified by boldness, from the edge-to-edge screens with teeny-tiny bezels, the amazing ability to wirelessly charge another device, the Infinity-O display that cuts a small circle to make room for front-facing cameras, up to four rear cameras with up to 1TB of built-in storage.
Samsung, with its new releases, lays claim to the world’s first ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint reader, which unlocks the Galaxy S10 using sound waves; a screen advancement that reduces blue-light emissions, which studies have shown can slow or halt the production of melatonin, the hormone that signals our brain that it is time for bed.

As expected, Samsung Galaxy S10 is flanked by two sister models: the Galaxy S10e and Galaxy S10+. The Galaxy S10+ is costlier than the first two, with a larger 6.4inch display but the same 19:9 aspect ratio. It has a triple rear camera as well but comes in a special 12GB RAM variant which is unavailable with the standard Galaxy S10 variant. The Samsung Galaxy S10 has a triple camera set up (one telephoto, two wide-angle), 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 512GB of storage; 3400mAh battery with wireless charging and reverse wireless power-sharing; and, an 8nm octa-core Exynos processor built in-house by Samsung.
The Galaxy S10e lacks the triple camera on the back but makes up for it with a single “dual pixel” 12-megapixel snapper, identical with last year’s Galaxy S9’s camera. The display is also smaller at 5.8 inches, with a lower full HD+ resolution.
Ru Bhika, mobiles expert at uSwitch commented on the Galaxy Unpacked event saying:
“Samsung has responded to the rise of consumer handset apathy by pulling not just one, but several rabbits out of the hat at this year’s Unpacked event.
Whereas the tenth anniversary of the iPhone last year drew criticism for making minor improvements that some believed couldn’t justify its price tag, Samsung has made sure to perceptibly raise its game in nearly every respect.
From wireless power charging and in-screen fingerprint sensors to the hole punch camera – killing off the notch – the Galaxy S10 looks and acts like a different beast to its predecessor.
While all these elements have all appeared in different handsets over the last year, it is significant to see the world’s biggest manufacturer bringing them all together in one place in what is essentially ‘a mainstreaming’ of these well-received features.”
