For those of you who really don't know much about Telsa, a quick recap; Tesla, Inc. is an American automotive and energy company based in Palo Alto, California. The company specializes in electric car manufacturing and, through its SolarCity subsidiary, solar panel manufacturing (Wikipedia).

With that been said, it didn't come as much of a surprise as the automobile manufacturer has been doing well lately, it appears one of their models is making a mark. Tesla Model 3

Sales reports simply came out from some of the top car manufacturers in the world, Ford, Honda, and Toyota. With those numbers and the Tesla sales report released recently (together with some easy estimates), we can see how the five top-selling automobiles inside the U.S.A broke out in December 2018 and in the 4th quarter of 2018.


On top of it all, the Tesla model 3 turned into the #4 top-selling car in the united states of America in December and #5 in the 4th quarter.

The Tesla model 3 become the only car from an American automobile company that became one of the top  5 in both rankings, which definitely means it was the number 1 top-selling automobile within the US from an American automobile company.

you could actually compare these 5 models for the whole 12 months, however, be aware that the Tesla Model 3 isn't always in the top 5 in that timeframe on the grounds that Tesla wasn't producing the model 3 at a mass scale in early 2018.
